Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo 49 & 50 FINAL out!!!

Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo 49 & 50 FINAL out!!!

After nearly two years since our release of episode one, Wasurenai Fansubs and Lemon Sour Subs proudly present the last two episodes of Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo! It’s been quite an interesting ride, and as the sole translator for the majority of the series, I must say that it has been a great pleasure working on each episode. Cute cosplay with two especially famous seiyuu casted in, interesting animals and unique characters, along with exciting episodic adventures and heartwarming resolutions, all make for an excellent show in my books.

The series’ seemingly down-to-earth themes subtly contrast very well with issues that are literally as large as the Earth itself. Even though the futuristic gadgets automatically set it in a not-so-distant timeline, it still manages to address animal-related problems that are present in today’s society and environment, be they natural, such as floods and forest fires and tidal recession, or man-made, such as clearcutting and oil spills and garbage, or even a combination of both, such as global warming. Kudos to legendary producer Kawamori Shouji (Macross, Bebop, Eureka, Escaflowne, Aquarion, and many others) for being able to present such major issues in such an easy-to-understand and convincing story.

Translating the series was a superb learning experience for me, not just in the actual translation process, but also for things that I thought I’d already learned all about but still had a few things left in store. Sure, everyone gets the constant “protect the animals” and “be green” and whatnot, but through watching this series, you can actually build an attachment to the the natural world around us, its values, and why it actually needs to be protected. Being a show for kids, it panders to them by showing them the cuteness and grandeur of these fantastic animals living out there, and also what it might be like if we could actually communicate with them. (“Want to Kirumin, everyone!?”)

However, I believe that adults also get value out of this, whether by little-known facts about ordinary (or not-so-ordinary) animals, by being reminded of their duties to this planet as they pass it on to the next generation, or by simply being shown – in a unique new light – the fact that each and every living thing on Earth is connected to one another, and whatever we do to those connections will always have consequences, whether good or bad. The standard virtues of family, friendship, love, and trust also come through quite strongly as well. The sense of familiarity holds tight from start to finish, and I personally feel that these subs are very well-deserved for a series such as this.

Excellent and cute character animation, fantastic soundtracks, funny live action scenes and well-done voice-overs are all, of course, just icing on the cake. (Huge shout out to Neko Jump for awesome OP/EDs!)

For that, I give Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo a very high recommendation to all anime viewers out there. As an original work, there is no manga to base the series from, so any and all “fillers” are virtually nonexistent. Pacing is decently done, although the usual rush is shown in the final episodes, but nevertheless well planned out. If you’ve been unsure of whether to watch this series or not, please do give it a try! I can guarantee that there’s something in store for everyone.

OK, that was pretty long, even for me. Here’s the links, and everyone, thank you for watching and patiently waiting for our releases!

A few final notes.

Complete project staff list to be done in the batch post. (or when Asairo stops being busy and gives the list to me)

I apologize for the massive delay of recap episode 41; there have just been too many sporadic lines from many episodes at once to collect. I am currently helping WM62 on it, and it will be out in the final batch.

Major batchwork under way, please do look forward to the completely re-done first 13 episodes 🙂

Yumeiro Patissiere SP Professional is now getting the MMC treatment, look out for those as well.

Kirumin!

  1. Thanks for completely fansubbing the show (minus Episode 41 :P), any chance of us getting Episode 41 before the batch is released though? 😀

(I have a bad feeling it’ll be a few weeks or a month before that batch is available)

Oh, and here’s hoping that the XviD AVIs for both Episodes 49 and 50 are out, when I wake up from my nap later today :).

Thank you for your hard work.
One question: are there going to be other v2s except 01-13? I just want to know if I should hang on to episodes 14-50.

Thank you very much for your work.

Yes thanx for finishing this, I will wait for the batch, also am waiting for the batch for 1st season of Yumeiro, look forward to the 2nd season as well, keep it up d(-_^) JAANA~

    • ANIKI says:

By the way, 10-bit should not be used at all, no clue as to why most just rushed to use it, it should have been left when hardware support is out or at least it is stabilized, some groups are having hard time with it, all IMO.

  8. Showsni says:

Aw, I’m kind of sad that it’s over now… Great show, and great work from all of you to bring it to us! It’s definitely been worth the wait.

You know, there are still a few plot hooks that could hint at further episodes… Or is that too much to hope for?

  9. Rekki says:

Hell yeah! I remember when this show was announced and I was praying for someone to do it, then you came and save us. Thank you so much.

  10. Mugi says:

Any idea when the actual batch is going to be released? I’m finishing up Jewelpet Tinkle right now, then I’ll move over to this. But if you’re redoing episodes 1-13, I want to wait for them.

    So yeah, any estimate? Thanks!

    • MMC says:

Currently speeding through 8 of 13, then moving on to redoing 29, doing 41 and then quickly watching the rest again of 14-50 for minor mistakes. Possibly by late next week?

  11. Digital Boy says:

Yay!!! I’ve been waiting two years for this to be finished so I can finally watch it all the way through. Thanks so much for never stopping! You won’t be forgotten!

  12. Thanks for the super quick release of the AVIs :D, BF3000 :)!

  13. Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu Fan says:

I remember when this show was announced and I was worried that no-one would sub it (like Tamagotchi), then Wasureni picked Anyamal up. Thank you for fansubbing the anime! 🙂

Shouldn’t all Wasurenai related stuff be merged on MAL? http://myanimelist.net/fansub-groups.php?q=wasurenai

Looking forward to seeing recap episode Episode 41. 🙂

    • MMC says:

I don’t know how to change that stuff in my MAL account (though I should, but just been too lazy to learn the website and list 400+ series in my archive). If anyone would be willing to do that for us, that would be awesome.

  14. tripperdan99 says:

BTW, I’ve been diligent to keep all the episodes [H264 1280×720] along with the Sound track and the OP&ED that were done. When the missing episodes are done, I will be glad to help seed. I will also be glad to present it to BakaBT (I’m a power user but I’ve not offered any torrents up to this point).

    ~trip

    • MMC says:

Thank you for the offer, trip. FLAC OST will be included in the HD batch and MP3 OST will be included in the SD batch to refresh seeding on them and also to get them to people that missed the first set of torrents. It’s up to you whether to offer the series and OSTs together or separately on BakaBT (I know how strictly their staff likes to keep to “official” folder lists and names, so actually your decision will be key in how we’ll decide how the final torrents will be set up; either the OST’s included in the series folder, or separately).

We are also planning, along with the batches, to release patches for H264 episodes that only had changes applied to the script, not the encodes themselves. This should be a lot easier to get people their v2’s and help us seed earlier. 1-5 are exceptions as their brand new encodes now include sorely missed live action scenes. XviDs will, of course, have to be re-downloaded completely.

On a general note, if anyone has found any glaring mistakes in episodes that are not 1-13, 29, and 41, please let us know here, or on IRC.

  15. MMC says:

Unexpected rise in busy levels for all staff. ETA extended to sometime next week (hopefully)

  16. kamineko says:

In ep 42, there were kanji missing from TL notes.

Looking so much forward to the batch! That is one GREAT series.

    • MMC says:

      You mean this?

Check your settings or update your codec packs, both aegisub’s and mpc-hc’s vsfilters display it correctly for me, and thus so should mplayerx/vlc/kmplayer/etc. The correct font for the TL note style is Saigon Italic, try installing it directly in your system by extracting it from the video file. Has this happened before on previous TL notes? Otherwise, your system isn’t set up to render Japanese correctly (ie. unconfigured XP and earlier)

      • kamineko says:

I’m using latest dev version of MPC-HC on Win 7, but despite that, I think that you are right. My system is obviously borked in some way.

Now the epic quest for the solution of how to make asian language support come back on win 7 (sigh).

  17. Leoparder says:

Thank you very much for subbing.
