P.S. Yes we know about the missing blue kanji typesets near the middle. We didn’t do them because 1) It would conflict with the dialogue; 2) That particular part is CPU heavy enough without raising it more; and 3) They copied exactly what’s from the JP Wiki, so you can find the english equivalents on there.
any link to the wiki for those kanji?
There all about close enough to the ja wiki. We could’ve finished the tsing for them but like he said eariler. too much CPU usage already. lol
then why not create a secondary script for those who still want to see it and whose computer can handle it? i was able to watch avatar in full 1080p on my computer with no lags and i was able to run a process hogging java program in the background. and to top it off my CPU is a 2 year old Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz that runs at 2.48GHz. and the thing costs only around $200 and has been included in allot of ready made computers since it’s creation mine included.
we’ll consider that when we do v2s. still deciding whether to put the notes at the end of the episode somewhere (credits section perhaps, though few people play all the way to the credits anyway so maybe a bad idea), since we won’t put the dialogue and the ts together on the same screen regardless (too much clutter already), or just put the ts on an alternate track (which may be inconvenient for some, as they’d have to switch back to the main track and rewind to get the rest of the dialogue).
nice pc btw, i’m able to run avatar 1080p as well but we’re trying to run these releases as low-profile as possible for our less hardware-blessed leechers. we’re only taking this precaution now because we’ve run into various problems before with high CPU usage in previous episodes (ie. the expanding/shrinking text in ep 2, and also the jars in ep 8 for some weird reason we still can’t figure out). since our policy of hardsubbing only applies to the karaoke in the op/ed, we’re gonna need to downtone these somehow in the script itself. so for now, please bear with the explanations given for Hercule Poirot, Cordelia Gray, and Nero Wolfe in wiki until we sort this out.
