Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo 23 out!
It’s here!! Possibly my most favorite episode so far, until a certain someone finally takes off her glasses, I suppose. Extra-special serving of moe with huge developments, *gasp* CONFESSIONS GALORE, a small yet lovely and catchy insert song that even your kids can sing along to (banjo players rejoice!), and an awesome guest appearance by the Japanese Youtube phenomenon Hard Gay on helium!!! Don’t miss out on this one, people!

Hello guys! I don’t want you to waste your precious time so want to inform you that it’s already released in Malayzia: http://animelv.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1287&Itemid=54. Just buy & rip it. Or donate for me & I’ll rip it.))

2 per month? Just where are you getting that information? A quick search of Tokyotosho shows that episodes 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 were released so far in October.
Also, those DVD are HKDVD rips. How do I know? 50 episodes on 2 DVDs isn’t something the industry would do. 25 episodes on 1 DVD would look pretty bad. Don’t forget, since these are DVDs, they have to be encoded in MPEG2 in order for them to be playable on DVD players. MPEG2 doesn’t compress well, so if everything was to fit, the quality would look pretty bad.
In addition, look at the subtitles section. Chinese, English, Malay. I wouldn’t be surprised if the English subs were just the Chinese subs translated by google translate or something.
Finally, look at the region section. NTSC & All Region Code. In other words, Region Free. The industry rarely releases region-free dvds, especially for tv shows.

A check on the anime site gave evidence that the DVDs are not even fully released yet. So this means the anyamal dvds that is being sold in malaysia, are essentially fakes and not licensed for sale.

      Let’s be serious guys:
      [LSS-WSRN] Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo – 01 2010-01-10
      [LSS-WSRN] Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo – 23 2010-10-29
      293 days / 23 eps = 12,7 days for each ep

      [Leopard-Raws] Anymal Tantei Kiruminzoo – 50 2010-09-24
      Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo (TV 1 – 50 end) DVD9 2010-10-13
      20 days / 50 eps = 0,4 days for each ep

      >The industry rarely releases region-free dvds, especially for tv shows.
      You unaware of Malayzian industry.

      >50 episodes on 2 DVDs isn’t something the industry would do.
      2 DVD9 = 4 DVD5

      >they have to be encoded in MPEG2 in order for them to be playable on DVD players
      Players can handle MPEG4, y’know.

      >I wouldn’t be surprised if the English subs were just the Chinese subs translated by google translate or something.

        >You unaware of Malayzian industry.
But we know Japan one good enough.
There is no way someone give official permission to release something somethere before original Japan DVD&BD.
There is no way to someone release licensed DVD with 6hours video per disk (6hours video to 9 gig disk=VERY bad quality).
So thats just not licensed release encoded from TVraws + 50eps were translated by some student it one week for 20$.

        • TrollHunter says:

          >6hours video to 9 gig disk=VERY bad quality
          In MPEG4 – no.
          >were translated by some student it one week for 20$.
          You don’t know! You can’t know! ´▽`

            >In MPEG4 – no.

Only some modern DVD players support MPEG4, and even then the only MPEG4 they support is xvid/divx, not h264.
The DVDs would have to be MPEG2 in order for them to be playable on 90% of DVD players.

If all I had to do was run a Chinese script through google translate, I would be just as fast. I’m surprised it took this “company” so long to run the scripts through google translate.

        >>they have to be encoded in MPEG2 in order for them to be playable on DVD players
        >Players can handle MPEG4, y’know.
Yes, but those types of players are few and far between, mostly because MPEG4 playback compatibility is not required by the DVD spec. The few, newer dvd players that do support MPEG4 only support the divx implementation, which means no H264 playback. (if you want H264 compatibility, you will have to by a full-on $100+ media player)

        >>I wouldn’t be surprised if the English subs were just the Chinese subs translated by google translate or something.

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l115/Skellor/BT/BT2/kitarou_nippon4.png <— The only preview image that has subtitles also contains incorrect grammar usage. That pretty much speaks for the quality of the subs.

And like BF said, the DVDs haven't been completely released in Japan yet, so that Malay DVD release is unlicensed, so it probably uses crappy re-encoded TV raws.

Is it just me, or have the last three or four episodes been missing the “subtitles enabled” bit? I’ve had to manually enable the subtitles track each time for a while now. Aside from that, great work, gang.

  4. Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu Fan says:

    Thanks for the release!

2 per month? The only times there has been 2 in month was in January, February, March, May and August of 2010.

But since September 2010 Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo has had multiple episodes released in a month. Episodes 15, 16, 17 and 18 were released in September so that 9 episodes released in 2 months.

In the end it is down to how much help that Wasurenai receives so even if some people do take a break then the various releases of different anime can still continue.
